Hello my name is Quentin Jorstad and I am a drum instructor as well as a guitar teacher!
I all kinds of genres and teach all ages on both instruments. I try to make all my lessons understandable, fun and encouraging for each individual! If there’s any song requests as well, we can learn them on spot along with lessons of the day, exercises and techniques. I play as an instrumental guitarist and I learn drums to fill-in background tracks. I love to play heavy metal and classic rock, jazz rock fusion, blues and Funk on drums and guitar. I love to teaching students. I strongly believe in spreading my musical talents amongst many students in San Jose! I also repair guitars, amplifiers, guitar pedals, drum kits and bass guitars as well! I am a collector of a lot of different instruments but mainly Guitars. In fact, I have about 30 guitars hanging from my wall with a nine piece Mapex double head drum set. I am very passionate for playing music, listening to music and teaching music and I will continue to do it as long as I live! I am accepting new students at the Almaden School of Music and Art.
