Mrs. Vania Goranova learnt and mastered the techniques for painting on glass in Bulgaria and Italy - two regions very well known for their glass painting techniques.
Students will learn how to score, cut, grind, foil and solder glass. They will also receive instructions on how to arrange pieces of glass to create a picture or pattern, and then form them together to create a panel that can be proudly displayed. Stained glass painting is emerging as one of the most popular trends in crafting in the US. Whether you want to add a stained glass look to a window or create a set of hand-painted glasses for your table top, you'll be able to use the glass painting techniques you learn here at the Almaden School for your ideas and inspiration for your next stained glass painting project. Approaches include both representational and abstract schools of expression. We've taught beginners to masters and we've learned that everything builds on just a few basic concepts that we will teach you here. Over the past 35 years, our art teaches at the Almaden School in our San Jose studio have taught thousands of young artists with many going on to successful careers in the arts. Even more have gone onto successful lives that include art as part of well rounded and successful lifestyles. Our instructors also always work to maintain the child’s self esteem and personal sense of creativity. Classes meet once a week for 60 minutes year round to ensure continuity for the students. As students complete a painting, their artwork is prominently displayed as part of the Art of the Week or Artist of the Month program. Each of these classes has an additional $10 per month materials fee which covers all materials and supplies needed for the class. * Develop patience and concentration |
