Mr. Ma is a very highly accomplished Cello Teacher. Quite a few of his students have gone on to become highly accomplished Cellists in many widely renowned Orchestras.
Mr. Ma has a Master’s Degree in Music from the New York State University at Stony Brook and a Performance Certificatefrom Northern Illinois University. Mr. Ma has been teaching cello lessons for more than 18 years. His soft spoken, patient approach, teaching experience and extensive professional performance background make him a perfect choice for cellists of all ages and abilities. He is a winner at Concerto Competition and Soloist with Kent Symphony Orchestra in 1981. He toured and performedextensively with Young Artists Concert Chamber Music Group, and has had many televised performances. He is Soloand Chamber performer with Violinist Si-Hon Ma and Pianist Tung Kwong. He was selected to appear in regular chamber music series in New York with such renowned artists as violinist Raphel Hillyer, bassit Julius Levinem, and clarinetist Charles Russo. Mr. Ma is currently accepting new students at Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. While many of his students are children, he teaches quite a few Adults as well. |
